Background
Yoga resonated with me at an early age when I started an after-school yoga program as a child and continued the practice throughout my childhood as a part of my training as a ballet dancer. After an injury took me out of dance, I found immense mental and physical healing from the ability to connect with myself through movement in yoga. This led me to get certified as a 200 RYT at a local studio in Corpus Christi, Texas and an additional 50-hour trauma-informed training at Yoga Tree San Francisco once moving to the Bay Area.
Yoga has always been a source of healing and refuge for me – a space and practice through which I’ve gotten to know myself better throughout life’s chapters while also discovering great creativity, strength, and joy in movement and breath. I strive to bring that same feeling into my yoga classes through a trauma-informed, alignment-based approach that blends vinyasa yoga and dance-inspired movement with breath, music, and focus. I strive to create a space for my students to be present in their bodies, challenge themselves in a supportive environment, and leave feeling more mindful, grounded, and empowered.
