Background
Kelli's journey with yoga began in 2003, marking the start of a profound transformation in her life. What began as a simple practice soon evolved into an art form—a dance of breath and motion that allowed her to find freedom within her own body. At that time, she was a new mother, and yoga provided her with the space to care for herself amidst the demands of motherhood.
In 2007, Kelli's life took an unexpected and painful turn with the loss of her son. The overwhelming grief and trauma made it nearly impossible for her to sit with her emotions and continue her yoga practice. In an attempt to cope, she sought out solace in marathon running and other high-endurance athletics. The physical exertion provided a refuge, and the ability to move forward.
By 2014, Kelli was diagnosed with an inflammatory disease. This diagnosis was a wake-up call, she realized that she needed to stop running-both literally and metaphorically-and learn to accept her grief rather than escape from it.
In 2015, Kelli completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) at Purusha Yoga in San Francisco. Since then, she has dedicated herself to teaching Vinyasa Yoga to students of all levels, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. Kelli's teaching philosophy centers around the creation of a strong sense of community. Kelli aims to inspire others to explore their own potential and discover the profound impact that yoga can have on their lives. Her style of Vinyasa is a movement meditation where she teaches her students to synchronize their breath with their movements. This style of teaching allows clarity through the mind and allows emotions to be released from the body, providing students a new opportunity to experience life with more mindfulness and peace.
